Thanks to the featuring on Wedding Editorial Wandering Weddings, we have thus honored this wonderful land of incredible beauty, L’Aquila, for us is a symbol of the power of love, the love that the inhabitants of this place have shown in rebuilding and reborn their region after the terrible earthquake that in 2009 devastated it. And it is to them that we dedicate all the commitment that the whole team has put into the project so that this beauty can be admired all over the world.
Planned and telled by Lorenzo & Ylenia of Loryle Photography, the day starts off with the bride’s boudoir session in one of the most caracterist hotels in L’Aquila: Hotel Sextantio in S.Stefano di Sessanio. The village is a classic example of a medieval Italian hill town.
The bride, Clare carefully guards the precious haircomb and earrings created specifically for her by Nea Bridal. She wears the engagement ring that depicts the window rose of the Basilica of ‘ S. Maria di Collemaggio’, an important symbol of Abruzzo which Cavallo Gioielli has handcrafted for bride and groom, a symbol that we will find later in many other details, such as the handmade stationery by Dodo Design&Co.
Clare wears a graceful and refined dress designed by a local stylist, Isabela Caposano. Walking through the village reaches Rocca Calascio for the ceremony in front of the Church of ‘Santa Maria della Pietà’, famous for its characteristic octagonal shape and destination for pilgrimages.
The color palette and the style of the bouquet created by Liliana of Floran perfectly reflect the surrounding nature, wild and delicate at the same time. For the ceremony she has set up a pair of original medieval candelabras, which adorn the exchange of vows.
This extensive landscape that is so natural and at the same time seems to have been perfectly designed offers beautiful views for scenographic shots and romantic walks. The light warms up, Clare wears a second dress and leaves her hair picked just with a head crown, free to move in the wind of the Gran Sasso. The table is set up among the ruins of the historic Rocca Calascio Castle. The setting was enriched with the elements of the Aquila goldsmith craftsmanship and with the elegance of the opal colors laid on a hand stitched linen tablecloth. Even the cake made by Alessia of Qualcosa di Dolce recalls the strength and elegance of the stone and is harmonically guarded within the walls of the castle.
The setting of your most significant events is brilliant but what makes it unforgettable is the uniqueness, it is your emotions, the unexpected, the thrill of the imagination, the inspiration, the elegance, the light that changes and it transforms and we follow it, we follow you and we transform and we get excited with you … because this is how we like to photograph, tell, this is how we like to live.
